Face & Body Painting contract

FEES

1.5 hour (minimum) fee is $270 per Artist.

$90 each additional 30 minutes per Artist.

1 Artist can paint approximately 6 to 14 faces per hour depending on the intricacy of the designs that are chosen. Please be aware that COVID cleaning processes have decreased the speed at which the painter can paint in order to clean supplies between each guest.

Festivals/large events may incur additional speed painting, supply and set up/break down fees.

Please be sure to book your time accordingly to avoid leaving anyone out. Please do not ask us to disappoint any guests due to lack of time booked. Sometimes we have an event booked right after yours and we may not be able to stay past stop time contracted. If you exceed the time booked and we are available to stay, it will be charged in half-hour increments. Client will pay for the time booked plus overrun, even if Client has delayed the time we start the actual painting.

Deposit: A non‐refundable $50 deposit is due prior to event.
The deposit will be deducted from total on the day of event. The remaining total and any additional charges are due on the day of the event in the form of cash, check, Venmo or Paypal. Client must pay for a minimum of 1.5 hours even if Client uses Artist/s for less than 1.5 hours or overrun of that amount in 30 minute increments. Only booked times with deposits are guaranteed, and event date is not considered “booked” until the deposit clears the bank.

Travel/setup/other fees:
Should deposit check be returned, the event date is not secured until replacement deposit is received in cash. Additionally, there is a $30 returned check fee. Travel fees apply when the event is more than 35 minutes from Bridgewater, New Jersey. Art Sink will notify you of additional travel fee once you provide us with the event location. Parking fees (if applicable) must be paid to artist along with deposit.

PARKING
If permit parking or passes are required, this must be received as part of deposit. Please specify unusual requirements.

WEATHER (for outdoor events)
The client agrees to provide an area with protection from extreme temperatures, sun, rain, snow and excessive wind. Client is responsible to provide an alternate indoor location in the event of inclement weather. The client agrees to pay the full amount contracted once the painter has arrived at the event location, even if it is raining. *We do not offer refunds for inclement weather.*

CANCELLATIONS | REFUNDS | RESCHEDULE
Should you need to reschedule your event, please do so at least 7 days prior and we will make every effort to meet your needs. If you need to cancel the event, your deposit is not refundable but may be applied to a different date for up to one year. If you book a date with us, we turn down other clients for that time slot, this is why our deposits are not refundable. Should our Artist get sick/have to cancel, every effort will be made to find a replacement Artist. Should that fail, Client’s deposit will be refunded in full.

EXTREME ADVERSE WORKING CONDITIONS
Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme adverse working conditions and the Client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to: destructive, violent or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child, pet or adult; illegal activities; or otherwise dangerous conditions.

LIABILITY STATEMENT
While we use ONLY FDA approved cosmetic-grade face painting supplies and glitters, Artist is not liable for allergic reactions to paints. People with skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have Artist perform a patch test at the beginning of the party. Client understands that darker face paints will leave a faint stain that must be removed with mild soap, water and/or washcloth. Gentle oil can also be applied to remove any color residue and glitter.

We do not recommend using baby wipes to remove face paint as the chemicals from the wipes may irritate the face when scrubbing.

For safety reasons, Artists will not paint children under 2 years old or anyone who is unwilling. For sanitary reasons, Artists will not paint anyone who is or appears to the Artist to be sick or suffering from cold sores, conjunctivitis, ringworm, sunburn, eczema, any infectious skin condition or open wounds. Artist will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property.

Under no circumstances will Artist supervise children. Their behavior and safety of children is the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility. The Artists cannot see or observe what children are doing while they are painting.

Art Sink is fully insured and a certificate of liability insurance can be provided upon request.
